You could channel the classic Wolfman with a Shifter, play up the stealthy ambusher aspect with a Wood Elf, or re-enact the Chuckie movies as a Halfling. For a supernatural Slasher, anything that augments their arsenal of tricks works well. Goliath's extra endurance and natural athleticism compliment the playstyle, and the Firbolg's bag of tricks give them a supernatural edge in addition to great power. Stalk your prey invisibly with Cloak of Shadows, disorient them with the Illusions and Darkness from Shadow Arts, cut off their escape with Shadow Step, and paralyze them with fear with Stunning Strike.Īs for race, something big, like a Goliath or a Firbolg, would do well as a killing machine Slasher. Lacking the implacable, unending endurance of the killing machine, the supernatural Slasher uses trickery, scare tactics, and sadistic psychological torment to break their victim before going in for the kill. If you want a more supernatural Slasher, like Freddy Krueger or Candyman, Way of Shadow is what you want. If they try to fight back, the THP from Touch of Death and the killing blow denial from Mastery of Death will keep you standing. Set your opponents running with the Long Death's Hour of Reaping ability, chase them down with you Unarmored Movement, and keep them right where you want them with Stunning Strike. They're fast, they're powerful, and they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead. If you want to play a Jason Voorhees/Michael Myers type killing machine Slasher, I'd say Long Death is your best choice. If they get their hands on you, you're done for. They can creep around unseen no matter their size. They can always catch up to their fleeing victims, often pushing credibility. They fight with simple weapons or just their bare hands. They are usually not armored beyond a snazzy mask.

What are the hallmarks of a classic Slasher movie villain? I would say either a Long Death Monk or a Shadow Monk.
